Traveling is one of people's priorities in the summer for Americans as Overseas Adventure Travel revealed.

Overseas Adventure Travel company revealed its leading destinations in 2025, which will vary between many water-filled places in the Amazon River, as well as adventurous travel in Thailand and exploring hunting trips in the middle of the African forests.

According to a recent survey, most Americans appear to be selecting affordable travel locations this summer due to the current state of the economy. As to the most recent Summer Travel Trends analysis by marketing and communications consultants Vacasa and Allison, the majority of travelers—89%—will be remaining within the United States and taking many excursions, with an average of five visits per summer.

Approximately 81% of Americans who intend to vacation this summer stated they will be more frugal with their spending. Travelers may enjoy warm weather in classic budget-friendly summer destinations like Hilton Head, South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Panama City Beach, Florida, with average daily rates under $250 per night, according to Vacasa.

56% of the participants indicated they planned to travel more frequently than they did last summer, and nearly half of the participants (49%) said they would take a summer vacation this year.

With 72% of travelers indicating that they will travel over the holiday weekends, summer travel is predicted to be very popular this year. July 4th (43%) is still the most popular summer holiday.

This year, Gen Z and Millennials have made significant contributions; 58% of them will travel this summer, compared to 41% of Gen X and older generations.

This year, road trips are also trendy. Of those who plan to take one, more than three-quarters (77%) say they'll be going by vehicle, RV, or camper van. Gen X and older generations were particularly fond of road vacations (82%). 41% of respondents indicated they would be taking a plane.
