NIO ET9 solves the problem of snow

A video posted on the Chinese social media platform Wibo demonstrates the 'Sky Ride' intelligent chassis of the company's new flagship Nio.

Numerous characteristics are included in modern electric automobiles. In addition to being silent and emission-free to drive, cars such as the NIO ET9, which was unveiled in December of last year, offer other features that set them apart. Here's what we tell you.

The Nio ET9's clever chassis

A video showcasing the Chinese company NIO's 'Sky Ride' intelligent chassis technology, which automatically removes snow and ice from its roof without the need for human assistance, has surfaced on the Chinese social media platform Wibo. The model is a competitor of Tesla's Model S.

A few months back, Porsche released a computer-generated image (CG I) movie featuring a dancing Panamera. In retaliation, Nio released another video, this time in real-time, showcasing its independently controlled shock absorber system through the usage of another disguised prototype, the ET9.

The NIO ET9 mimics the motion that dogs make as they shake off moisture in the video that we've included below. Sky Ride is the name of its sophisticated chassis technology, which contains four hydraulic pumps that regulate each wheel separately.

When the car crosses more challenging terrain, the unique suspension system can not only shake the body but also maintain its level ride. Similar behavior is shown in a different movie where the NIO ET9 poses as a waiter and drives over speed bumps while toting a pyramid of glasses.

The EV's wheels are shown bouncing on a damp floor in a third video labeled "high-frequency vibration test," where you can observe how the cabin stays calm throughout with no abrupt movements or alterations.

Delivery is scheduled for 2025.

In December of last year, the NIO ET9 made its premiere as a high-end flagship vehicle to take on the Mercedes EQS, BMW i7, Porsche Panamera, Tesla Model S, and Lucid Air. Two electric motors that generate a combined 697 HP (520 kW / 707 HP) and a 120 kWh battery pack with ultra-fast charging capabilities power the EV.

The variant has a rear-wheel drive system in addition to the advanced dynamic suspension. Delivery of the NIO ET9 is expected to start in 2025, with a starting price of 800,000 yen (about 102,891 euros) in China.

When it comes to showcasing technology and performance, Nio is one of the leading Asian companies, as seen by the EP9 supercar project that created a stir at the Nürburgring. Similarly, it debuted the new ET9 at NIO Day 2023 in December of last year, and it appears that it is ready to take on the major brands.

It is a high-performance luxury car with advanced technologies that is anticipated to go on sale in 2025. It is 5.3 meters long, 2.01 meters broad, and 1.60 meters high. Details like 23-inch wheels and a retractable rear spoiler have been added.

It has a family-oriented design with simple, graceful lines, but it also has a rear that makes it more coupe-like in appearance and has an incredibly roomy inside. Not to mention its 700-kilometer range on a single charge for autonomy.

increasing in sales of e-cars

By the end of 2023, 116,590 electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle registrations had increased by 47.2%. The National Association of Vehicle Sellers (GANVAM) and the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (AEDIVE) gathered these data.

Naturally, the vast majority of them—more than 60,000 units registered in 2023—remain plug-in hybrids. Over 54,000 new electric passenger cars have been registered in our nation since 2023, although pure electric vehicles are getting closer to these figures.

This is a 73.4% increase over the same period last year. This statistic is twice as high as the previous year's closing growth rate of 31.5%. These figures are somewhat inconsistent with statements made by some manufacturers indicating a slowdown.

As a result, sales of electric vehicles have doubled in only two years, with twice as many sold in Spain last year as in 2021. Thus, 27,676 electric vehicles were sold in the nation. And among all of them, one brand has been mentioned repeatedly.

This is the situation with Tesla, which continues to sell models like churros even after ending the year in a manner that disappointed its investors. More specifically, the stylish electric SUV known as the Tesla Model Y is a model that keeps setting sales records.

With more than 1.23 million sales, the Tesla Model Y is on track to become one of the best-selling vehicles in history. It has achieved this feat by rising to the top of the global best-selling list, setting a record for an electric vehicle, and placing it ahead of well-liked SUVs powered by internal combustion engines.
