The musical explores Lopez's love life and the nature of her relationships, including with herself, through the characters of the drama she wrote herself.

The film's release coincides with the release of Lopez's new album, "This Is Me...Now."

“It has become important for me to develop as a person and as an artist, even if this means appearing more vulnerable and being more honest about things,” she told Reuters in an interview.

She continued, "So it was very natural for me to do this thing (film performance) at this point in my life, with everything I've been through and the things I've learned."

The 54-year-old actress and singer, who has been married four times, was first engaged to Affleck in 2002, which led her to record her hit album “This Then...But the wedding was canceled in 2003 and the couple separated after several months.” .

They then reunited in 2021, before getting married in July 2022.

"I don't know how comfortable he is with being an inspiration to me," Lopez said, thinking about how her 51-year-old husband feels about her sharing details of their relationship.

She added, "He could not be more supportive, loving, and encouraging me to express myself exactly the way I want, which I find really wonderful of him."

The 65-minute film, directed by Dave Meyers, includes some of the 13 songs from Lopez's ninth album of the same name, including "Mad in Love" and "Deer Ben Part Too."

The film is scheduled to be shown on the Prime Video platform starting Friday, coinciding with the release of the album.
